For the love

I am going crazy with everything that I am doing. I am trying to paint, trying to survive in life, trying to help my kids survive. Homework, Laundry, Dishes, mopping, cleaning up after the little one drawing on everything (theres another paint project right there) carpool, sports, ok I could go on and on, but I won't. I just find how do I fit everything in. So I know that it takes me quite a bit of time to put new things I've done on here, but it will happen.....I PROMISE. Don't give up on me yet. mwah!

My sister introduced me to Pinterest. I like having my inspirational pictures all in one spot. Here are just a few.

VINTAGE

I'm a huge fan of Vintage rooms, but the way that my children are I don't think I could pull it off in a childs room. They would destroy it. Maybe a guest bedroom, or my bedroom. But on my bedroom my hubby said that he would rather have a room a little more masculine than girly. I agree. He doesn't want to sleep in a room with pink colors and lace and flowers. I get it, I get it.

But I still can't get over these rooms.

On a side note. The painting is coming along nicely. Hopefully soon I will have some finished projects as well as the whole room. Mwah!

Ok Today is the day

The hubs doesn't know that today is the day that I will be picking out paint. HEE HEE. It seriously drives him insane that I like to paint and change colors. I promised him when we lived at our other home and were moving into our new home that I wouldn't paint for 5 years. Well that time is up baby.

Here is my dilemma. I have couches in my front room. Not my first choice of color, but they were cheap. :) They are a hint of orange leather. Ok who am I kidding they are orange. Not a bright orange, just an orange. So I have two walls that I want to put the stencil on in this room. One before you walk into the room and one on a wall when you come in. I am trying to decide the color that I would like to put on these walls.

These aren't my couches, but I am lazy and don't want to go take a picture. But this is pretty darn close to the color of the couches.

Now I was thinking maybe a brown.

I looked on the color wheel. I

know so nerdy, but it's quite helpful. And in all reality these oranges and browns are very warm colors. I love me some warm colors. To accentuate these colors though you go across the color wheel to the Blues. It makes both colors stand out a little bit more. So now I am even more confused. I don't want my house to look like you are going into Cafe Rio for a salad, but I would like it to look like "wow that is so freakin cute" You get me dog.

I am going to choose today and get some crap done. It's coming almost winter and I have to park in my garage. You say what does parking in your garage and painting inside have to do with each other. Well I have so many projects in the garage. I need to get them done and out. Plus I need to be a little more organized. HEY A GIRL CAN DREAM RIGHT? MWAH!!!!

NO Mulah!!

It is really hard to decorate even if you are decorating cheap when you have no mulah. It is rather frustrating, because I have a million ideas, but no money to pull them off. Well I want to do a stencil right when you walk in my house and then one in the living room. Here are some of my favs. Which ones do you like. Go check out Royaldesignstudio.com Tons of stencils. Options

I hate it when I have a million options. Two I could choose from, but a million it makes it a little harder. Here is what I am having dilemmas with. My 11 year old's room I have painted her desk, dresser, side table gray. Then she has accent piece of turquoise. So freakin cute. Here is my dilemma. Do I paint the walls gray, gray striped, gray diamonds, or a totally different color. Blahhhhh Then I have to choose a yellow for my little ones room. I like yellow with orange, but there are sooooo many that I am getting bugged by all the colors. For the love just buy the paint and get it done. ALRIGHTY, ALRIGHTY!! sHEESH.

DI finds

You know how I love DI (deseret industries) These are a couple of things that I found. So excited. OH THE POSSIBILITIES.

This I want to cut off the bottom part, paint it white and put it on the wall as a book case.
In the process.

I love this. I have no clue where I will put it or what color, but I love it.

Now this is an Armoire. It has a matching dresser and two end tables. I wanted to put it in the little girls room, but A dresser and an armoire might be a little too much for their room. I don't know yet, but isn't it adorable. The girls room, coming along. Slowly, but surely. :)
