It's raining it's pouring

Too much going on. I know that I am a slacker, but we are having a flood warning in our area and that is consuming me.

I know I am a slacker...

But with the Royal Wedding and all. I have been uber busy. :) Ok so I love painting furniture. LOVE IT. Some people might demise it and actually loath it. But not I. But when I saw these I thought YOWZA. How cute, but would I have enough patience to do this.

That blue is bright.

Ok Don't worry I will totally take a picture with all the furniture in her apartment. Then you can get an idea of what the colors look like together. I think this is so cute. This is again the same old story. Some day I will get crazy and throw something different in. But we primed with kilz, painted, and glazed with black. Hardware was sprayed black too. The different thing that we did on this was we actually bought paint and used it in a sprayer with a air compressor. First time doing that. You just buy the paint you want. (we bought latex, but you could do oil base) Then you put it in the spray container and water it down a bit. If you have oil base you would buy a paint thinner. The reason you do this is so the gun doesn't get clogged. Then spray away. It was fun to have a fun color that doesn't come in the Krylon sprays. It makes the range of what you want to do so much bigger. Mwah!!

MORE FURNITURE!!!

Who doesn't just love to see furniture transformation. Well if you raised your hand then just move along. lol. I love love love to see the difference some paint makes. I love it. Well this has got to be my favorite so far. Once again you are seeing furniture that my sister and I did for our Furniture redo extravaganza. This stereo has huge potential I say. Yes ugly, but what can we do. Well she is going to use it as storage. We ripped the stereo out. She has to figure out how to lower the cabinet inside so she has more storage, but that is all stuff she can do in her spare time. This is absolutely crazy cool. I love the way it turned out. The fabric is adorable and it matches everything in her kitchen and front room. The reds, yellows, oranges, blues, greens. EVerything. I could sit and stare at this all day long, but Laundry calls. Mwah!!

Table...oooo la la

My little sister and I did a weekend of projects. Ok let me back up. My sister and I are seriously BFFs. We don't even have to finish our sentences. We can look at each other and laugh... I think she looks at me and laughs way more often than it is together. We can have fun doing anything together. It kind of bugs people sometimes, but that so doesn't bother us. hee hee. maybe it should. anyhoo. Back to the projects. She (like I have said before) has a major color fetish. Which I love. Well she has a red wall in her room and kind of needed to work around it a skoach. (sp) She found this cute table at DI for a total of 35 dollars for the table and 4 chairs. I love round tables. I just think they are uber cute. Well she was going to paint it cream and then her chairs cream but we went into the whole...you should decorate the way that you want. So she decided on doing her chairs the colors she wanted and the table cream. I love this table. I love how it turned out. We did name her Gertrude. WHY? That name seemed to fit at the moment when we were scraping off the top of it this glue, wallpaper, painted, crap on the top of it. I thought I was going to go insane. We gouged the top a little and so spackled the bad boy. There was sanding involved on this one. Just too much crap to try and make nice. Then primed, and painted it Ivory.(krylon) Then Glazed with black. My sister actually took the glaze on areas that didn't have big creases and used her finger to make it look a little more antiquey. I love Love Love the way it turned out. I will post the other two chairs when they are completed. Taking a break from Paint fumes for a momente. MWAH!!!

Inspiration Friday

Laundry rooms just plain make me tired. Why? Because I think of all the laundry I always have to do. booooo on that. I want a laundry room like these ones. Especially the checker board floor. How cool would that be. The only problem I have like a small closet for a laundry room. I want to change that. Maybe I will change my exercise room into a laundry room and then just exercise outside. Like that will ever happen. hee hee Off to do more laundry. Maybe I can sneak in painting something or two somethings. Have a great Easter Weekend. Mwah!!!
